SNUGPAK SOFTIE MML 9 SMOCK

Developed by Snugpak UK with input from professional end users, the new functional Snugpak® Military Mountain Leader (MML) Smock has been created to support the soldier in a diverse range of operational environments, when exposed to extreme cold weather.

Whether you are completing long range days, Army Reserve Training, deployed operations, or need an extra layer when called upon for that early morning picquet, the Snugpak MML Softie™ Smock has been created for you, for a diverse range of environments, terrain and weather.

The Snugpak MML Softie Smocks are ideal for a diverse range of operational environments, all year round, where the main environmental considerations are wind and cold weather, when thinner layers are insufficient to protect against the elements.

The Snugpak MML Softie Smock is a tri-layer garment and uses both Paratex™ Micro as a face fabric, and an internal Softie™ Premier fill, encapsulated with a Paratex™ Light lining. Designed to provide excellent thermal protection against the cold, as well as high protection against wind, the MML Softie™ Smock is available in a variety of Softie™ weights, for the following temperature ranges:

• MML3 (Softie™) 0℃ to -5℃
• MML9 (Softie™ 9) -10℃ to -15℃

The MML Softie™ Smock allows essential equipment to be carried centrally, with easy access when wearing a day pack, Field pack or climbing harness, as well as plate carriers and webbing systems while maintaining core functionality with other operational equipment, such as body armour. The tri-layer MML Softie™ Smock incorporates a unique design, for the storage and use of essential equipment, such as map and compass, orders books, range equipment, weapon cleaning essentials and is compatible for tactical reloads, as well as more modern devices such as smartphones and tablets.

For the entire Snugpak® Venture Range, the hood has been removed, allowing greater compatibility with other items of clothing, but the storage space remains. This allows you to roll up items such as a neck scarf, Buff®, fleece liner gloves or skull cap and store them close to hand.

Paratex™ Micro

Outer Fabric (100% Nylon). Paratex™ Micro is tough, lightweight, highly windproof and water repellent. Paratex™ Micro utilises closely constructed fabric and is exceptionally hard wearing but still remains soft to the touch

Paratex™ Light

Inner Fabric (100% Nylon). Paratex™ light is lightweight, highly windproof, water repellent fabrics, exceptionally breathable and able to wick moisture away from source.

Softie® Premier Insulation

Insulation (100% Polyester). The brand name for Snugpak's® exclusive synthetic (Polyester) filling. It utilises Randomised fine filament fibres create extra voids and loft to trap more warm air, whilst keeping the same weight as a standard insulation.
